Specifically I am now located in Houston (the 4th most populated city in the U.S.) near the Memorial Park area, and I love it here. I am still getting used to where things are, the different neighborhoods, and to not drive in certain lanes because they will just park there (very odd for this CA girl to get used to). I live in an apartment complex that is very close to my new job and I can get around to just about everything I need without getting on the freeways, which is great because the traffic here is crazy and at unpredictable hours.
This is my first experience in an apartment complex, and I think I got really lucky. The view from my front room is of the courtyard, which is kept up very nicely, my neighbors are friendly and for the most part pretty quiet, and my place is just about as big as my place in Folsom. Overall, I am very thankful to the real estate agent and co-worker that looked at several places for me and found this gem two days before I left.
I am pretty settled in at this point and have room for those that would like to come and visit and explore the Space city.
